IN CHINESE HISTORY

On the 4th of October 2019, GHD Ubbo Emmius will organise an academic and historical daylong conference concerning the topic of 'China: continuity and discontinuity in Chinese History.' On this day we want to try and find a common thread throughout Chinese history.

The conference will take place in Het Kasteel (Melkweg 1, Groningen). For more information about and pictures of the location, please consult the 'location' page.

During the day all communication will be in English, as a number of speakers and attendees do not speak Dutch. The three keynote speakers of the the day are prof. Hilde de Weerdt (Universiteit Leiden), prof. Hans van de Ven (University of Cambridge) and prof. Ching Lin Pang (Katholieke Universiteit Leuven). For more information about our speakers, please consult the 'speakers' page.
